The first story in West Street Stories #0 is a health-filled adventure of VITA-MAN. Our intrepid super-hero faces the super-menace that is CANCER! Vita-Man, by Al Tudor, is a satirical work which parodies comics and society with just the right mix of action and adventure. In issue #0 we take satirical aim at the criminal justice system in general, and lawyers in particular (always a favorite target). Plus we meet some of Vita-Mans friends and assorted cast of characters for the first time: Dr. Ralph; Barbi Bode; Officer Jack Webber; and the ever lovable F. Lynn Buckley, Attorney-at Law.
Our second story in West Street Stories #0 is called Crash and Burne by writer/artist Brian Dobbins. It begins the Saga of Tom OBedlam, which continues in issue #1. The Saga of Tom OBedlam follows a simple premise: What would happen if two regular Joes put on costumes and went out into the real world to fight crime? In this first story we meet Kevin Burne and his buddy Crash, whose nickname is well earned. Youll see why when he talks Kevin into putting on that costume. The explosive ending of this first installment has taken all readers to date by surprise.
So in issue #0 of West Street Stories youll get two great stories, two exciting new characters, two soon-to-be-famous signatures (thats right, we sign each and every issue ordered on-line), all in a full 32 page black and white extravaganza for just $2.50!
